General Purpose of Position:

Develops and maintains long-term relationships with strategic customers and industry leaders.  Develops business plans and sales strategies to take advantage of new business opportunities.  Initiates, supports, and participates in negotiations with potential customers.  Creates, communicates and implements long-term business strategies and plans which demonstrate awareness of customer requirements, culture, values, and diversity.  Assesses, recommends, and promotes approaches for applying project management methodologies and technologies to large scale and multiple projects.  Provides leadership, insight, and vision integrated with project management enabling customers to effectively achieve business objectives.  Transfers project management knowledge through consultation and training to the customersí organizations.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Develops strategic IT plans to support business plans and sales strategies to take advantage of new business opportunities.

bullet

Leads in negotiations with potential customers.

bullet

Creates, communicates and implements long-term business strategies and plans which demonstrate awareness of customer requirements, culture, values, and diversity.

bullet

Demonstrates leadership in managing change.

bullet

Assesses, recommends, and promotes approaches for applying project management methodologies and technologies to large-scale programs made up of multiple projects.

bullet

Provides leadership, insight, and vision integrated with program management enabling customers to effectively achieve business objectives.

bullet

Demonstrates project management experience through Program Management Office services.

bullet

Transfers project management knowledge through consultation and training to the customers organizations.

bullet

Assist in development and support of the vision and business objectives of the organization.

bullet

Assist in development and support of the vision and IT objectives of the organization.

bullet

Direct the activities of resources in line with objectives of the organization.

bullet

Performs leadership role in delivering Program Management Office services.

bullet

Demonstrates a boardroom presence when working with customer executives.

bullet

Ensure quality and timely delivery of critical path products and services.

bullet

Establish and maintain quality metrics and guidelines.

bullet

Implement process and system improvements including integration with other functional areas.

bullet

Translate organization's business requirements into effective business solutions.

bullet

Conduct PMO audits and quality assurance reviews of projects, define corrective action requirements, and provide escalations as necessary

 Skills and Abilities:

bullet

Recognized by senior leaders as influential in achieving fundamental organizational change.

bullet

Develops and maintains long-term relationships with strategic customer executives and industry leaders.

bullet

Adept at the development and implementation of schedule, cost, and risk management strategies.

bullet

Experienced implementing project management at a program level, across multiple organizations and environments.

 Education and/or Training:

bullet

Minimum education  - bachelorís degree.

bullet

Preferred MBA.

bullet

PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

bullet

Minimum of 15 years Project Management and/or organizational management experience.

bullet

Minimum of 10 years Project Management experience leading other managers.

bullet

Minimum of 7 years business/industry knowledge.
